The tour leaves from Durban and passes through Pietermaritzburg and the capital of KwaZulu Natal.

The Giants Castle Nature Reserve a UNESCO World Heritage Site will embark you on a 40 minute walk up to the main caves which house exhibits of San Rock Art. A site guide will explain in detail the history and meaning of these ancient paintings.

The tour ends with a drive the Midlands Meander where you will be able to enjoy and purchase a variety of produce grown or manufactured by local farmers.

10b. Kamberg Bushman Rock Paintings

Bushman Rock Paintings found in Kamberg, situated on the foot hills of the Drakensburg Mountains are plentiful. This site houses a greater volume of paintings which include some of the best preserved paintings in South Africa. Reaching this site is slightly more strenuous then the Gaints Castle, you will embark on a 90 minutes going to the sites and 60 minutes coming back.
