Johan Engelbrecht, award-winning author of a controversial novel centred on Afrikaner racism. The 2007 Jan Rabie/ Rapport Prize* was awarded for his debut work titled ‘kaffertjie.’ Engelbrecht was commended for his contribution to renewal in Afrikaans literature.
