As from: 03/30/2011 for a PPL Licence you need a:
Initial requirements for the licence are 45 hrs flying
To convert to a PPL from a LSA ( subpart 16)

min 10 hrs dual instr which must incl:

5 hrs instrument instr

min 5 hrs solo which must incl:

Triangular CC of at least 150nm, one point not closer than 50nm from base, incl 2 full stop landings at two diff aerodromes, of which 1 must have an ATSU and for which a fligt plan shall be submitted
