Foodie Paradise in Burgundy
Day 1
Transfer on your own from Lyon airport or Lyon train station. (We’re happy to assist with a low-cost car rental, or arrange a private transfer for you).
Check in to your lovely 4-star chateau accommodations situated just a short drive from the town of Macon.
Take some time to settle in, and enjoy a dinner on your own.
Overnight.
Day 2-5
Breakfast.
Every morning, you’ll partake in a hands-on cooking class in the chateau’s restaurant kitchen with the restaurant chef, as well as Patrick or Juliette. Every course will focus on a classic French dish and regional cuisine using the freshest local ingredients.
Lunch to follow based on your efforts. (The course will also result in your dinner for the day too!) Meals may be enjoyed in the restaurant’s dining room, or, weather permitting, in the chateau’s garden.
Spend some time on your own in the afternoon. Perhaps relax by the pool, or – if you have a rental car – visit the surrounding countryside and nearby towns. Alternatively, a tour guide/driver can be arranged at an additional cost (please inquire prior to your travels).
Dinner at the chateau.
Overnight.
Day 6
Breakfast followed by a day on your own to rest, relax, or explore.
Lunch on your own.
Tonight’s farewell dinner will be at the chateau with Patrick and Juliette, who will describe the wine pairings with the multi-course menu.
Overnight.
Day 7
Breakfast followed by checkout and departure on your own.
Price Per Person
This program requires a deposit of US$1000 per person.
2016 & 2017 - US$1890 per person in a double occupancy room.
Single supplement please inquire.
This trip doesn’t include transfers. We’d be happy to assist with a low-cost car rental. Additionally, transfers to/from Lyon can be arranged at an additional cost.
