Smiley Jo grew up in a coastal rural area, on the banks of the Ntlonyana River, in the Transkei region of the Eastern Cape.
At an early age, Smiley lost his mother (a single parent)
and his elder brother to HIV.
Smiley and his siblings took responsiblity for their family and Smiley started to work for a biscuit making national franchise.
From biscuit making to catering, Smiley Jo acquired the skills needed to succeed in the hospitality industry and in addition he diversified into specialised aspects of construction.
Based in East London the group is focussed to service
the local market.
