A good personal fitness trainer should have a profound understanding of exercise form, biochemistry, endocrinology, human physiology, dietetics including supplementation, and psychology. For it is the confluence of these, that enables a good personal fitness trainer to get a person into shape. Do not confuse personal training with coaching. Personal fitness training is about obtaining a desirable physique, coaching is about making someone proficient in a particular discipline, whether it, be running, swimming, dancing etc.
