Hmm...?
Ever thought of flying in a microlight or even learning to fly. Let us show you how. How about doing it over Big 5 country?
ABOUT US
THE SCHOOL: NATIONAL PILOT LICENCE OR PRIVATE PILOT LICENCE
LEADING EDGE FLIGHT SCHOOL relocated to Hoedspruit, South Africa, during January 2002 and has been in operation since 1995. There are two full—time instructors, available. The school is registered with the South African Civil Aviation Authority (ATO No. CAA/0141) RAASA (Recreation Aviation Administration South Africa) and the Microlight Association of South Africa (MISASA). The school offers training towards the National Pilot License (NPL) and the Private Pilot License (PPL). We offer the full range of NPL being weight shift microlight training, (on your own aircraft, the school does not have one to hire out), conventionally controlled microlight training on the Bantam and Light Sport Aircraft on the Jabiru SP.
SCENIC FLIGHTS
Introductory flights are offered by the school to allow you to experience flying in a microlight or to view the Big 5 from above. Flights of 20 minutes, 30 minutes and 60 minutes are available.
You have the option to sit and experience the flight and view the game or you can have hands-on experience from the first flight should you so wish. The choice is yours.
INSTRUCTION COSTS
How do the different licences work?
What is entailed when learning to fly these different aircraft?
Do I have to do it full time or can I do it part-time?
Which licence is for me? Then answer the following question: What do I want to do once I have my licence?
Training can be done full time or part-time. The time required will depend on the licence you choose and whether you are going to do it part-time or full time. You will be required to get a radio licence which can be obtained in Hoedspruit and a flying medical which can be obtained nearby.
