Building The Meeting Pack
Create a Meeting Pack App
There are ten steps to hosting your first meeting. Step 2 is:
2. Gather Content & Build Meetings Pack APPs by linking to original format pages or to specialist Webpages
The meeting pack app is a shared webpage that lists and links content. The page can be Button Bookmarked on Phone Homescreens and it can be Bookmarked on PCs. Each time the App image on a phone is tapped it will open the latest version of any page selected. The first decision to be made is the width of the page. Allowance must be made for the Menu Tabs that display down the right hand side. As an option the menu tabs can be left off. This will allow for a wider main page panel . As an example 467 pix works well for most phones. Old style PC screens were 900 to 947 pix wide and newer landscape screen on laptops and PCs vary in width. If we set the menu tabs down the right hand side we would set the page width to be 467 and allow 167 for the tabs leaving a main page panel width of 300. These are the dimensions for the communicator at www.bmc.webo.directory which is on the right.
Log in & Select Member's Portal. The Admin Panel will be on the right. This Quick Start Meetings Communicator was made as follows:
The list was created in Microsoft Excel, sorted & copied.
Set the Page Width to 467. In an actual Meeting Pack Communicator you would enter a password and Activate the option: Shared Webpage Password Locking.
Place your curser inside the CKEditor and paste the contents from the Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet.
The contents will be inside a table.
Right Click on the table and open Table Properties.
Set cell padding to 10, Border size to 2 & left align.
If you have a company logo or letterhead banner then add it to Meetings Communicator by clicking in the top row and selecting the option to insert a row before.
Place your curser in the top row & add an image by selecting the image icon. It's next to the f (flash option).
Next select the Link option and hyperlink the Read more text to the documents uploaded. Select the Target Option to open the Options. New Window (blank) was used. Given time, review the blog post on Content Managers.
