Only 30 minutes drive North East from Pretoria, driving through changing scenery of hills and valleys, you will find Bushbaby Place, a peaceful camping retreat for relaxing and getting away from it all. on your way there, you will drive through part of a small game conservancy where you might spot some game eg. njala, Zebra, Kudu, Blue wildebeest, Impala, Waterbuck, Eland, Blesbuck etc. welcoming you to our area. At night the clear bushveld skies offer excellent star-gazing while you can hear the different sounds of nocturnal animals, eg. Jackal, bushbabies etc.
This 21ha venue is nestled between hills where you can explore the area on foot, enjoy the lovely view & fresh air, while watching game and a surprising diversity of bird species. For the more curious, there is a lion farm in the vicinity, the Dinokeng Big 5 Reserve, wine tasting at Loopspruit & our nearby village Cullinan, offers many attractions including their famous diamond mine, antique shops, hotel and restaurants.
To give you the true bush-experience and to adhere to the rustic theme, the entire site is specifically designed without electricity or other modern luxuries. There are however powerpoints off-stand to rent for camping-fridges in a secure room at the Boma-area. Bushbaby Place offers 10 unique bushveld stands for tents & caravans, serviced by 1 ablution block with scullery. Limited lighting is provided with solar lights for the ablution block & warm water is obtained from gas geysers.
There is also a lovely big swimming pool and cozy boma area with braai facilities and where a nice bonfire can be made. The campsite is not fenced off so you might be startled by some unexpected antelope or other animal activity upon exiting your tent.
