Viljoen-French & Chester Inc. was incorporated under the name “Viljoen-French Inc.” during 1990 by Hendrik Cornelis Viljoen (Henk), who after matriculating from Grey College, Bloemfontein, in 1974 obtained his B.Proc degree from the University of the Orange Free State.
During 1977 Henk achieved his Private Pilot License which he has maintained to date, adding ratings for twin engined aircraft and instrument ratings to his license.
During 1980 and 1981 he served in the National Defence Force (Airforce) and achieved the rank of Lieutenant serving as the Law Officer based at Waterkloof Air Base. During this time he was involved in numerous Boards of Enquiry, Courts Martial, etc.
During 1984 the firm Maartens Viljoen & French was formed. They became the first legal firm to open offices at Lanseria Airport.
Over the years the firm has expanded to a practice accommodating five attorneys, Henk Viljoen, Aubrey Chester, Cinzia Bocchiola, Sophia de Klerk and Grant Naudé. The professional staff is ably supported by a candidate attorney and efficient secretarial and administrative staff.
