1st Time Driving School's owner and main instructor, Shireen Botha, has been a driving instructor since 2008. Prior, she was a licensed driver's license examiner with the Department of Transport.An instructor's certificate holder (a requirement from the Department of Transport), she has helped hundreds of prospective drivers to get their learner's and driver's licenses.One of only a handful of female amateur motorcycle racers in South Africa, she is registered with MSA (Motorsport South Africa) to compete in the Breakfast Run Class of Northern Regions Racing.For patient and competent instruction, look no further.
Reliable Vehicles
Few people know of the requirements laid out by the Department of Transport that applies to driving schools.
Training school's should adhere to the following :
Their vehicles MUST have a dual-control brake (a secondary brake fitted to the passenger side of the car, and a remote cut-off switch fitted to motorcycles)
Their vehicles MUST bear the name of the driving school
Regulation 250 of the road traffic regulations enacted under the Road Traffic Act, 1989 (Act No. 29 of 1989)
  As such, we have chosen the Renault Sandero as our primary instruction and licensing vehicle.With two of these in our fleet, you'll be able to learn to drive and do your test with features that have become standard as of late :
- Power steering
- ABS
- Airbags
- Air-conditioning
For those that wish to gain their driver's license for motorcycles, we also provide a motorcycle to take your test with.
With a 180cc engine, the Bajaj Pulsar is large enough to qualify for a Code A license, and a breeze to ride.
