Gerhard Roux owns Driving School. Driving School has been involved in driver Education for 39 years. They are qualified to teach Learners License Classes, Learner Drivers (K53), Advanced Driving as Instructors and Examiners, Defensive Driver Trainers and Examiners, Skid Control Instructors and have been trained in the Smith System (American).
Gerhard is one of the highest qualified Instructors currently teaching Learner Drivers In South Africa and have also been involved in Corporate Training throughout South Africa and in various African countries.
Driving School's teaching systems and training is the highest available in South Africa.

STATISTICS
There is a huge problem on our roads - there is an average of 12,638 collisions In South Africa per day, NOT accident, but collisions, which are avoidable through proper Driver Education.
Daily, on average we kill a person every hour and for every one killed we have seriously injured 89 - It cost's South Africa R30 million a day direct expense. Driving School is probably one of the only Driving Schools that are aware of these statistics and really believe that with YOUR support we can start making a difference.

Current literature available to the Public states a following distance of 2 seconds between 2 cars.
At 60km/h If 2 cars have a 2 second following distance there is 34 meters between them - a car at 60km/h needs 33.7 meters to stop providing it has perfect brakes, perfect tyres and is on a perfect road surface. The average person has a reaction time of 1 second, which would make it impossible for him to stop in time. Driving School Drivers are taught to keep a 3-5 second following distance in accordance to the speed you are travelling.
