I studied at the Design School of Southern Africa and graduated with a Higher Diploma in Graphic Design and Multi-Media which was validated by the London College of Arts.
I majored in Photography and finished in the top three of my group, but it was my passion for music and videos that drew me into the Audio-Visual industry.
Here I spent four years creating Multi-Media presentations while working as a Staging Engineer. In this time I travelled to places like Ghana up in North-West Africa on photography shoots for some of my international clients.
I then had a career opportunity at the company where I was working to join their established video department, where I started editing on a Discreet 5.02 suite. In this time I was also part of numerous video production shoots where I learnt the ropes of being a Runner, Sound Man, Cameraman and Editor.
More growth opportunities soon followed as a Floor Manager at MNET for a Christian programme called "Heartbeat". My ever-growing passion for video editing continued and while I completed my Diploma in Ministry I bought an Apple suite and trained up further in Final Cut Studio.
Through my wide career path with training and hands-on experience in the industry, I was able to fulfil my dream with the registration of de Klerk Productions.
I am currently working as a creative consultant and freelancer / director for various companies and advertising agencies. You can contact me through the contact page on this site should you wish to make use of my services.
