DESIGNINMOTION is a family business managed by Chris Wilson. As a young man Chris watched the Tour de France and decided that this was his calling in the world of sport. He was first coaced by Trainingbible USA Senior Coach Rob Kelly and then by Dr. Carol Austin of Activeworx.
He is one of the first young athletes to train and understand the value of training with a power meter and is an expert on the SRM system. Chris was schooled at St. Stithians and won his National Colours at age 16. His specialty is climbing and time trailing in addition to his mental strength and talent for individual and team strategy and tactics. Chris has raced in Holland, Belgium, Spain and Italy. He was headhunted to join the Veloclub Corridonia Junior and Under 23 Development Squad with the support of long time mentors Andrew McLean and ex Barloworld and SA multiple Champion Jock Green. After testing for the team he was described by then Team Lampre Director Sportif Brent Copeland as having one of the biggest "engines" in a young rider he has ever seen.
Chris has recently taken a well deserved break from full time racing in an effort to further his studies in the field of Marketing. He has worked at one of the key SA Bike importers and distributor where he has expanded his already vast knowledge of the local and international bike scene. Chris has personally picked and chosen the brands and accessories at DesigninMotion. He has studied them, ridden them and taken them apart. He is dedicated to his knowledge of everything about bikes.
