Our family tailoring business, formerly known as Berliv Clothing has its roots in Eastern Europe where it was founded over 80 years ago.
Flash forward to 2008 when our family business rebranded and 'restyled' itself as Maverik Style Wear and launched a whole new range of designs and products. We had a great response from our existing clients, who took home our custom fitted shirts, suits, trousers and coats, when their friends and colleagues commented on the quality of the fit and style. Maverik Style Wear's expertly tailored garmets made an immediately favorable impression, and soon we were filling orders from customers all over.
As word spread, we began receiving requests to tailor many of the professionals in our country. They had heard about our young and innovative approach to the tailor tradition – offering the highest quality custom tailoring at an affordable price. With so many requests, we established our new offices 5 minutes from Melrose Arch complex in Johannesburg, allowing us easy access to customer offices where we provide on-site fittings.
The Tradition Grows
Eighty years and many many customers later, the Maverik Style Wear tradition of expertly quality tailored garments continues. Today we use the Internet, e-mail and Skype to stay in touch with our customers and respond immediately to their individual requests. Through care and attention to every detail, we are able to handle shirt and suit orders completely by Internet and telephone.
Styles certainly change but our customers have remained fiercely loyal. This is the highest compliment we can hope to achieve. In this rapidly changing world, the fact that our customers stay with us year after year means everything.
