Paras Carpets is a family owned business run by Chezi Michaeli at the helm.
Chezi has been in the Persian carpet business for over 30 years. His family, in the 70's and 80's was the biggest distributor of Caucasian carpets in Europe and in 1978 Chezi was the first carpet wholesaler to bring Cuacasian and Turkman carpets into South Africa.
Chezi then ventured from the wholesale business into the retail business and traded as Tony Nicolella Carpets in Sandton City.
The business has expanded extensively over the years offering a full range of hand-knotted Persian, Turkish, Afghan, Pakistani, Caucasian, Indian carpets, hand-woven Kelims,Aubussons and antique pieces.
More recently, in addition to the traditional classic Persian and Oriental carpets, Paras Carpets has imported an extensive range of Modern and Contemporary carpets. Our designs are exclusive to our collections and the carpets work well with wooden and tiled floor finishes.
We welcome the public, designers and decorators to view our unique collections at our showroom in Kramerville and our experienced staff members will gladly assist you to find that special carpet or rug for your home, office, lodge, or hotel.
