Korteks Africa was started in 1997 as a joint venture with the Zorlu Group from Turkey. With an initial investment of $3 Million. Today, the company has re branded under Zaydtex with a total capital investment of over $20 million, employing over 250 people. It is now a wholly owned and operated South African company.
With its production facilities in Centurion, just outside Pretoria, it is the largest vertically integrated Inside Curtain Textile producer in Africa. The total production facility is housed under 19 000 square meters of building. The company distributes it's products through all channels, including national chains and independent retailers. The Korteks and Zaydtex brand has been firmly established in the minds of the South African consumer as a quality reliable brand. Our aim is to ALWAYS give the consumer more than what she bargained for. In other words we give you more than "value for money".
The present manufacturing operations in South Africa encompasses, weaving, warp knitting, embroidery, cornely, dyeing, finishing, CMT, Printing and Crushing. Over and above this, the company also trades in imported finished and semi finished goods to compliment it's product range keeping a close eye on the quality standards that have to conform to it's own high standards.
As existing production capacities are approximately 1 million tons of fabric per annum, specialising exclusively in 100% polyester yarn to service the inside or sheer curtain market, thus firmly establishing it as the largest vertically integrated inside curtain producer in Africa.
