With headquarters in Johannesburg, Teraoka S.A. (PTY) LTD provides superior Sales and Service of Electronic Scales, Automated Weighing, Wrapping and Labeling Systems, Thermal Printers, Inspection Equipment, Self-Adhesive Labels and related Consumables for both the Retail Supermarket Industry as well as the Food Manufacturing Industry.
Teraoka is the sole distributor of Teraoka/DIGI Weighing Systems and Anritsu Inspection Systems in Southern Africa as well as a proud Intermec Service Partner. Teraoka services both the domestic and international sectors (African Countries) through its network of 10 Sales and Service branches strategically placed country wide as well as a broad Distributor channel. A comprehensive support structure consisting of a 24Hr Help Desk, Research & Development, National Stores (warehouse) and Administration is housed at the Headquarters to assist the branches is supporting our customers. Teraoka also has a large Label Manufacturing Plant that produces Self Adhesive Label Rolls to be used on our Electronic Scale Printers, Thermal Label Printers as well as other applicators for various other applications. This compliments and adds value to our initial equipment sale and ensures repeat consumable business. We are also capable of producing various customized “Full Colour” Labels. TSA has a total staff compliment of approx 200 people.

Unlike other Scale Companies, at Teraoka we pride ourselves on possessing the correct product for each customer’s weighing and labeling requirement as well as superior service levels. This has elevated us to No. 1 in our industry with an overall Retail market share of over 70%. Some of our Retail customers/partners included Pick ‘n Pay Retailers (100%); Shoprite & Checkers Group (80%); Woolworth’s Foods (100%) and Spar Supermarkets (56%) to mention just a few. Our market share in the Food industry is more difficult to measure but estimated at around 45%.
