ABOUT US
The Fine Arts Studio
Situated in a beautiful, fully-equipped studio in Rivonia, Sandton, The Fine Arts Studio offers part-time courses in Oil Painting and Drawing. Designed for beginners and experienced artists alike, every course combines theory with practice, consisting of slide lectures on Art History relevant to the exercises being taught. Following a step-by-step course structure, students are able to develop the depth and range of their skills in a progressive way that encourages an overall appreciation of art.
The Foundation Oil Painting and Drawing courses address the fundamentals of art practice from materials and technique through to perspective and composition. Beginners learn to paint and draw from observation, practicing from still life and live model studies, while more experienced artists can through the same exercises focus on refining their skills.
The Fine Arts Studio is both a destination and a beginning for the appreciation and practice of art, drawing on a rich tradition of history to bring about a fresh perspective on expression.
