ABOUT US
Cook It has classes to suit every cooking need, from beginner’s classes where we teach the basic fundamentals of cooking, through to expert classes where you can learn to cook authentic italian. Thai and Japanese to Greek cooking using fresh and exotic ingredients. All classes are different as we constantly add new dishes to match seasonal spices, herbs and vegetables.
Students attending the classes ask to be inspired – for those occasions when they are entertaining guests, for the everyday supper that they are serving to their family, for the regular South African braai, as well as when making desserts and baking.
Our classes are kept small so everyone gets the full benefit from our top class chef’s attention and expert advice. At the end of the class you take home recipes that can be varied and extended into a series of menus to share with your family. Mealtimes at your home will never be the same again!
Class Content
A maximum of eight people will attend each class, each person in the class will cook one dish. On arrival each person will be given a copy of the recipes to be cooked in that days class. Before cooking starts the head chef will run through each of the menus and answer any questions that may arise. Each person will the select a dish to cook and as the class progresses the head chef will demonstrate the technical aspects of each persons dish. After each class all the guests will sit together and enjoy the meal cooked.
The classes have been designed to be interesting and challenging for both the beginner and the experienced cook. Classes will not stick to normal formats of the average cooking school, we will offer classing varying from Thai for beginners to plating like a pro and modern cooking techniques.
