1957 heralded the beginnings of a new Primary School in Benoni -- RYNFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL. No-one could imagine or even dream of how the school was to progress and grow in the years to come.
Today, we are very proud of our achievements, both aesthetically and educationally -- we have come a long way since those early days. The grounds have been nurtured into lawns, flowerbeds and playing fields and on fine days some of the older children have the pleasure of taking their lessons outside in these tranquil surroundings.
Our latest addition is the Junior Media / Computer Centre, completed end of 2007, with a fully stocked library and computer centre for the Foundation Phase learners. Upstairs, the Kids Development Academy programme is followed, concentrating on the development of the individual's fine and gross motor co-ordination, audio/ visual perception skills, as well as music appreciation.
'The Adventure Zone', our aftercare centre caters for over two hundred of our children. Classrooms have been brightly painted and walls adorned with colourful pictures and learning media providing a cheerful and congenial atmosphere for learning. We have a very caring and highly trained staff who offer love and understanding combined with the education of the youngsters under their care. Every child is an individual with different needs and it is our Mission to ensure that each child reaches his/her full potential. This is why our educators are chosen for their exceptional qualities.
