Audrey Rudnick’s name is synonymous with the Pod People, sculpture pieces made out of palm fronds for which she holds all production, marketing and selling rights under her Patent.

She is a world renowned Surrealist - Painter and Sculptor (her first solo exhibition was in Switzerland in 1977 at the age of 19). Painting is her greatest passion. Audrey draws most of her inspiration from the Bible. In addition to the patent for the Pod People she also holds a second patent for the Skirt People.
There are a lot of very talented artists and sculptors in South Africa, but Audrey is a true creative original Genius, a modern day Picasso and possibly SA’s 21st century Trechikov. Audrey is innovative in the field of ceramics and a True Original with her own distinct style of painting and sculpting. Audrey is entirely self-taught, and although her only formal art training consisted of 1 year at the Johannesburg school of Art, Ballet and Music, she has really been an artist since the age of 5. Her artwork was often cast as too over the top for main stream galleries (so too were Picasso and Van Gogh in their lifetime) she prefers to sell her paintings and sculpture pieces on exhibition through Reputable Galleries but does sell direct to the public from her home studio in Umdloti.
