R.R Designs founded by Rolaine Roetz Smit, an Artist and Graphic Designer. Rolaine Smit was born in 1989, Gauteng, South Africa. In 1998, she moved to Middelburg, Mpumalanga with her family, where she Matriculated in 2007. She participated in numerous Eisteddfods and art competitions. In 2006 she was the overall winner of Visual Arts; Painting at the National Eisteddfod.
On tertiary level she completed the part time course and obtained her Graphic and Advertising design certificate at INTEC College 2011. After which in 2012, she started with her Bachelor's in Visual Arts Degree at the University of South Africa. Completing Painting, Drawing and Sculpture in 2013, she is now proceeding with her studies in Art history as a fourth year student.
The small town of Middelburg is home to her and husband Jaco Smit, who is a Pharmacist Assistant in the area. They got married in 2012. She is currently practicing as a full time artist and Graphic Designer while studying part time.
