Bomkhozi rugs are hand woven on traditional wooden looms.
At our factory in the North West Province - South Africa, Bomkhozi has employed women weavers, the person who spins and the one who dyes wool. The yarn is dyed into different colours to weave unique rugs.
It takes about a week to create a pattern and about a month to weave a floor rug. A lot of quality time goes into the weaving of one rug, which ensures exclusivity of each hand woven product. These products are proudly South African artefacts.
Bomkhozi can also weave wall hangings, cushion covers and “pictures” to match with the theme of the floor rugs, an exclusive service to customers
