The Cape Palette Art Gallery, established 2002 in George soon created a reputation for their professionalism, high quality and a genuine enthusiasm for the arts.
ABOUT US
Leander and Doris Brand immigrated from Germany to South Africa in 1985, originally moving to Somerset West and then Swellendam, before finally settling in George.
In 2002 they officially opened Cape Palette Art Gallery in George. Both are very passionate about the arts. Soon after opening, members of the public approached Doris for art lessons, which she gladly obliged. They now take place several times a week, and focus on helping one reach their full potential through a variety of mediums and techniques. During this time Leander began teaching glass fusing to his own students, who shared a similar passion for glass art. Being a perfectionist Leander takes great pride in all the frame work undertaken by him at Cape Palette.
