Why Proud Creations?
I chose the name because I am proud of each one of my creations and take an immense amount of pride in creating work that is not just good, but great.
So what do I do?
I take great ideas and bring them to life in illustrative art.
How do I do it?
I have to make myself very very small and crawl into an Art Director’s head to see exactly what he (or she) is thinking. Well, not literally, but the relationship between the Art Director and Illustrator is key to producing a Proud Creation. So, I make sure that we both see the same thing by giving regular progress reports and process images.
Who am I?
I’m Lohan and the heart and soul behind Proud Creations. The years I’ve spent doing this and the people I’ve done it with and for have given me the insight to make the creative process a smooth one through creative, art buying and client service.
What is the insight?
Timing. As a professional artist and illustrator, I make it an art to make my clients and their clients extraordinarily happy in terms of the visual work, the budget and the deadline.
What does it take to succeed?
Flexibility and discipline.
What is the difference between art and illustration?
Art is a feeling, an emotional expression.
Illustration is the depiction or clarification of a concept.
