Garry Chemaly has been in the restaurant business since 1975 when he opened his first seafood restaurant, Lord Prawn, in Durban. He then moved to Parkmore in 1984 where he established and managed Lord Prawn, Sandton for 19 years, which he then relocated to The Post House, Bryanston.
Montego Bay Restaurant was established in 1994 by Garry Chemaly. It is situated in the heart of Sandton on the Nelson Mandela Square and offers the perfect venue for all occasions, with spacious seating extending out onto the square where you are able to dine under African skies.
Montego Bay offers the perfect setting for relaxed business luncheons and social afternoons. The function area comfortably accommodates parties of up to 50 for private functions. It also boasts an impressive selection of liqueurs, cognacs, champagnes, and a fine wine cellar serve to make connoisseurs of our dedicated patrons.
The extensive ala carte menu is filled with a wide range of options catering for a variety of tastes. There is a broad selection of starters, an assortment of salads and a comprehensive mixture of shellfish, line fish, sushi and oysters. For those not so keen on seafood we have a variety of pasta options, chicken, ribs, steak and lamb as well as a choice of several tantalizing curries. In addition to our ala carte menu, we have three set menus to choose from. Our oyster and sushi bar are available for before meal oysters and champagne, or a light lunch social meeting.
