 HISTORY
Turn n Tender was founded on the 1st of April 1977 by the four Aaron brothers, Mervyn, Steven, Howard and Brian.
Our first shop was situated in Greenside, we then opened Balfour Park. In November 1982, Turn n Tender Braamfontein was opened and soon became the flagship of the Turn n Tender group. For many people the Braamfontein store was considered to be an institution and you will always get people telling you about their experiences there.
After selling the property in Braamfontein in 2003, The Mini Tender Steak Boutique was launched in Emmarentia. Even with the name change, this particular store soon became famous in its own right.
Shortly after in June 2007, we opened a store in Parktown North, and returned back to the original name, which put Turn n Tender back on the map.
After much consideration, we then decided to close the Mini Tender in July 2010 and open up a larger store in Illovo Thrupps Centre.
PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy we try to follow is to make everyone happy. We know that to have a successful operation we must be conscious of the following requisites: good food, served with freindly honesty in a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere, with the right attitude.
And so we blend a great love of good food and an equal quantity of warmth and freindship.... and you will have discovered the recipe of enjoyment that is unique to Turn 'n Tender.
