Pilates was developed in the 1920’s by physical trainer, Joseph H. Pilates. Joseph originally called his work “contrology”. He considered this to be a body, mind, and spirit approach to movement founded on the collective affect of the six Pilates Principles namely: Concentration, Centering, Control, Precision, Breath and Flow.
Biokinetics Hout Bay
A biokinetics utilizes individually prescribed physical activity focusing on muscle strengthening and symmetry to prevent future injuries and problematic physiology. Our role is extremely diverse and varied we prescribe and design exercise programs for a wide range of clients with number of conditions including: Orthopedic injuries, spinal injuries, kids with motor co-ordination problems, stroke patients, cardiac patients. Post operative, Joint Replacement, Arthritis, and back problems Patients as well as many more. The studio in Hout Bay is tranquil and intimate allowing Patients to heal and reach their full Rehabilitative potential quickly and efficiently.
