Color Café is delighted to invite you to our pretty pastel studio located in Hyde Park Johannesburg! We are very easy to find and there is plenty of parking right out front.
Bring along your spouse, and children if you have them, or book a table for your group of friends! Begin by choosing a piece of raw pottery to paint, or mosaic instead. We supply the paint, stencils, stamps and everything else you may need to create your masterpiece. A qualified staff member is always on hand to help you and show you the most appropriate technique for your design ideas! Your piece is then left with us to glaze and fire, ready for collection a week later.
For those special gifts we now offer a gift wrapping service. We will lovingly envelop your masterpiece in tissue paper, tie it with a Color Café ribbon and label it too! The perfect finishing touch.
Our pricing structure encourages you to take your time and get into the groove – no hourly rate means no clock watching so no rush..
We offer you an ALL INCLUSIVE package at the studio! This means that the price of your chosen item includes all the materials you may need to complete your masterpiece. Glazing, firing, the use of the paints, stencils, stamps, mosaics and anything else you may require are all included! Stay as long as you like OR take your time over a few days to finish your artwork. We’ll look after it for you inbetween.
We will hold on to your completed, glazed and shiney items for a period of 6 months. If the shelves are at breaking point by then we remove the older, finished pieces and donate them to charity, where they are gratefully recieved.
We like to choose different charities and share the love around. The faces on the children are priceless.
Of course first prize is to have finished items go into the homes they were painted for, so please remember to come back to Color Café a week after finishing your unique piece and collect it from us.
