A short history
Tres Jolie, meaning very pretty in French, started in September 2005 when two single mothers, Adele and Lizette, bought Plot 22 Peter Road to start a kids party venue. Roland joined the ladies in March 2007 when he married the venue, rather when he married Adele.
In 2008 Lizette left the partnership and Roland sold his financial planning business to focus all his energy on transforming Tres Jolie from a kids party venue into a fully-fledged Restaurant, Function and Wedding Venue. Roland and Adele, both Chartered Accountants by profession, were assisted in the early days by four special individuals, Bryan, Bernard, Tanya and Numsa.
Tres Jolie is a miracle and a testimony to God's grace in that it was built by a group of people who had absolutely no training or experience in the hospitality industry.
Today
Tres Jolie today is an established venue; Roland and Adele have gained experience and grey hair and built a team of special, dedicated individuals from various disciplines within the hospitality industry. Adele now focuses on running the accounting and wedding side of the business and Roland is behind the scenes.
Restaurant
Tres Jolie is a country restaurant and venue in the Ruimsig area of Gauteng. Characterised by exquisite gardens and landscaped with fountains and water features this picturesque restaurant also boasts a farmyard where children can feed the animals, enjoy a pony ride and play whilst under the watchful eye of their parents.
Food and Catering
Tres Jolie's menu is an interesting combination of Mediterranean cuisine and hearty South African fare. From our Cape Malay curries to our famous wraps to our spareribs and steaks we pride ourselves on the quality and care we put into every dish. We also provide catering and services for your party or event.

Perfect Weddings
Tres Jolie is a country wedding venue in the Ruimsig area of Gauteng. The venue is accessible to all major centres of the region and the tranquil estate offers the bride and groom an ideal location for their wedding day. Characterised by exquisite gardens and landscaped with fountains and water features this picturesque wedding venue offers a unique blend of African colonial architecture and European country living.
Fountain Court: Wedding and Reception Venue
Wrought iron balconies frame massive railway sleeper doors through which guests enter into this baronial hall. Chandeliers hang from exposed beams and a huge fireplace determines a character of understated elegance in a space that has been designed to accommodate 50 guests or extend its functionality to accommodate 200 guests.
The design combines extensive use of wood, massive gum pole rafters, a red corrugated iron roof, wrought iron balconies and balustrades, carefully coloured and sealed cement floors, finished with clad rock to the base of the building and the entrance steps. What really makes Fountain Court special it that even though it is enclosed there is an abundance of windows, which provide the feeling of the outdoors integrating seamlessly with the interior.
Catering and Menu
Très Jolie offers a wide selection of menus from our casual Mediterranean buffet to formal dining; from a traditional braai to champagne picnics and garden parties on the lawn. Our country roast menu is lovingly prepared "old school" in wood ovens and has become our "trademark". Our event co-ordinators are on hand to help you plan your function and to ensure your party ideas are executed with precision.
Wedding Planning
Tres Jolie offers the service of an experienced wedding co-ordinator to plan every detail of your wedding décor. It is our pleasure to work out a detailed quote on all aspects of your wedding from floral arrangements to photography to music and styling. Our experience is placed at your disposal to eleviate your stress and enhance your peace of mind.
Accommodation
Tres Jolie boasts two guest suites romantically furnished in colonial style. Accommodation on site is an added feature of what our venues offer.
