As a new mom-to-be I was expecting the task of creating a nursery for my son to be a pleasurable and exciting experience. Yet I bumped my head around every corner confronted with poor quality, bad service and ridiculous pricing. I needed a one-stop shop with everything under one roof which included helpful knowledgeable staff, quality products and reasonable pricing.
It was this massive gap in the market for affordable, durable and stylish children's furniture, linen & décor accessories that lead to Slumber Hub being born.
My journey with Slumber Hub has been extremely fulfilling and it has been a privilege to assist new moms and dads with creating the perfect space for “little dreams to rest”.
Slumber Hub was initially a very small business that was run from a room in my home. It still amazes me how many families actually bought from me as the “showroom” was really quite small with very little on display.
My initial focus was just on affordable, durable furniture. The customers however continued to pour into the showroom looking for all the extras too. I made it my mission to source a wide selection of beautiful, affordable products that my customers would love.
We very quickly outgrew the room in my home and decided to build a brand new showroom which was home to Slumber Hub for the next 6 years. With the support of our amazing customers we continued to grow from strength to strength and before we knew it, it was time to look for a bigger showroom once again.
We moved into our brand new 165m2 showroom in May 2012.
It has to be said that the new showroom is a dream come true for me and that every drop of blood sweat and tears has been well worth it. I have, with the help of family and friends, managed to create the perfect one-stop baby and children’s decorating hub.
All the additional space has allowed us to create complete rooms in various themes to showcase all we have to offer and has also allowed us to extend the range to cater for older children too.
My passion and excitement for Slumber Hub is at an all-time high and I look forward to meeting new families and assisting with creating that perfect space for our most precious possessions.
