I am working with dogs from 1978 when I attended a patrol dog course in the South African police service. After completing the course I work as a handler until 1981. In 1982 I was transferred to the South African police dog school where I became a patrol dog handler instructor. In 1985 I was appointer to start the dog unit for the previously known Kwazulu Police. In 1987 I attended an explosive course and did train handlers and there dogs in the securing and searching for explosives in public places until mid of 1990. At the end of 1990 I was promoted as an officer in the South African Police service. During 1990 we move to a small holding out side Pretoria and I decided to start breeding dogs. At that time a very good friend convinces me that I must breed Bouviers. I start doing research on the temperament nature and working ability of the dogs and I was convinced that I would not make a mistake by getting my self Bouviers on the small holding.
Well the search start to find a Bouvier in South Africa and in 1992 my first Bouvier arrived at home. We called him Bobby because he looked like a baboon when he was sitting. In 1993 we bought our first female puppy which was called Brenda. What a beautiful temperament she had. One of her off springs won at the age of 13 months at the Bouvier championship show in 1997 and in 1998.
Currently we have 8 bouvs consisting of 1 male and 7 bitches.(2 bitches are on pension and enjoy their old age on the plot). 3 are young puppies between ages of 9 weeks to 3 and half months.
