Wayne always dreamed of owning a Golden Retriever. Although not nearly ready to get a puppy, we decided to do our homework, so that we could get a suitable puppy when the time was right. I contacted Sue Greenwood from Tinvane Golden Retrievers. She invited us to attend a Field Trial.
Well that was it, we were hooked!We attended every Field Trial and show in our area for more than 4 years before our first puppy, Phoebe arrived.
Since then we have been actively involved in showing and
working our dogs and we occasionally breed a litter. Both Wayne and I have travelled abroad several times to learn more about the breed from breeders that have been in the breed several decades and also to keep up to date with the breed in other countries but mostly in its country of origin.
For the sake of temperament we consider it essential to breed Dual Purpose Golden Retrievers.
We are careful in screening potential owners as although Goldens are wonderful companions, they certainly do not suite everyone's lifestyle. Please have a look at our page: "What you need to know about Golden Retrievers" to make sure this is the right breed for you.
Wayne, me Marycke and our daughter Kyla live in the Western Cape our Goldens and 2 cats (1 Blue Point Persian and 1 red Point Birmans). We are devoted to the breed and is committed to breeding quality puppies. We do however not breed regularly and you need to be prepared to wait should
you want one of our precious babies.
