The academy was created by Charlene Kruger to help limit the abandonment of dogs due to poor understanding between dogs and their owners. This understanding comes about through the training of dogs from an early age. Even so, we have proved that even old dogs can learn new tricks!
So many dog training schools concentrate on training the canine and totally underestimate the role of the handler and owner. We concentrate on developing a rapport between dog and handler/owner that results in a harmonious relationship.
Manderston believes in the Synergistic Approach to dog training. This approach is the combination of Ethology and the practical outcomes based obedience training, offered by trained Animal Behaviourists with the practical knowledge of ongoing obedience training.
