Dr Gavin van Niekerk (B.Ch.D (Stell))
Dr Gavin van Niekerk qualified at the University of Stellenbosch in 2002. He is a member of The South African Dental Association and The Health Professionals Council of South Africa. Dr van Niekerk was a member of the Oral B Dental Panel from 2006 to 2009 and is still actively involved with Oral B. He is also a member of the International Team of Implantologists.
Dr van Niekerk completed the Southern Implants Certificate Course in 2006 and is currently doing a 2 year post graduate certificate in Oral Implantology, in association with the University of Pretoria and the German Society of Oral Implantology.
His dental interests are new smiles, metal free dentistry, dental crown and bridge work, implant crowns, placement of implants and screw retained dentures on implants.
Dr Derek Coetzee (MDS (WITS))
Dr Derek Coetzee has over 25 years experience and is a member of The South African Dental Association and The South African Association of Cosmetic Doctors (SAACD). Since having qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 1982 at The University of the Witwatersrand, he has been in private practice offering orthodontic treatment to patients at Medical Aid Rates and exhibiting exceptional empathy and concern as well as attention to detail that has earned him wide respect.
His goal is to make orthodontics and beautiful smiles easy, affordable and fun for patients of all ages. He enjoys the scientific and artistic aspects of creating straight, unique smiles. Whether it is children or adults, it's thoroughly gratifying to see the progression to an awesome, beautiful smile.
He knows what a significant difference in health and self-esteem a beautiful smile can make and for this reason he is dedicated to re-constructing the beautiful straight smile that each and every person deserves.
Orthodontics is a constantly evolving science, and Dr. Coetzee is always looking for ways to advance his knowledge to a higher level. Keeping up to date with the changes in modern orthodontics ensures each continuing education course is exciting, and it is his goal to implement new treatments and ideologies into his practice.
