About US
About Dr Natascha Wolf
I have tremendous passion for health care with natural medicine and am always astounded by the body's ability to naturally heal if provided with the correct medication and supplements. I firmly believe and have seen time and again with my patients that many diseases can be treated with natural medication and often cured with this gentle approach.
I am a qualified and registered Homoeopath, Acupuncturist and Kinesiologist. I am registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa and Homoeopathic Association of South Africa. I qualified in 2000 and then worked for the University of Johannesburg as a lecturer and clinic manager before going into full time practice. During this time I have also done many further studies: a postgraduate course in homoeopathy (3 years part time), and a diploma in acupuncture. I am also a qualified HIV counselor, have undertaken a mode-rator and assessors courses and have done a level 3 first aid course.
Before starting my private practice I went to India for a number of months to work and train in a Homoeopathic hospital. This experience has been invaluable as general medicine was combined with homoeopathic treatment in a hospital setting and showed how homoeopathy could cure at its best.
I currently still lecture at the University as I feel the need to invest in the future of homoeopathy. I also act as an external examiner for master's level homoeopathic research and as a moderator for a number of the homoeo-pathic courses. The rest of my time is spent in my practice where I am constantly educating myself on the
latest developments in natural medicine as well as devoting myself to my practice and patients.
TREATMENTS OFFERED
Homoeopathy
Homoios in Greek means similar and pathos means suffering or disease. Homoeopathy is a complementary system of medicine founded in the early 19th century by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. At that time he was dissatisfied with the treatment of disease, which at times involved purging, and the use of leeches. He drifted away from the medical profession and continued translating books. During this time, he translated a book of Materia Medica written by Cullen, which described a-malaria-like cure using the bark of the quina tree of Peru, the Cinchona.
Biopuncture
The fact that most ampoules only contain very low concentrations of plant extracts is often a reason for conventional physicians to criticize the possible effects of these products. But one has to add here that the productsused in Biopuncture are not diluted to the extent that an ampoule contains no active products any more (as in "real" homeopathy). That's why we call them micro-doses. So, it is more than just injecting water.
Acupuncture
The classical Chinese explanation is that channels of energy run in regular patterns through the body and over its surface. These energy channels, called meridians, are like rivers flowing through the body to irrigate and nourish the tissues. An obstruction in the movement of these energy rivers is like a dam that backs up in others.
The meridians can be influenced by needling the acupuncture points; the acupuncture needles unblock the obstructions at the dams, and re-establish the regular flow through the meridians.
Live Blood Analysis
By taking a drop of your blood, placing it on a slide to view under an exceptionally powerful microscope, you can see what the current status of your blood is. The picture of what is seen under the microscope is viewed on a screen and your live blood cells etc can be seen before the blood coagulates.
