On a personal note, I have been married since 1992 and have 3 children.
I am a Registered Psychologist in private practice and I offer a range of psychological services to clients in the Northern areas of Johannesburg, Gauteng. I qualified as a Counselling Psychologist with a M.A (Coun. Psych.) from the University of Johannesburg. I am registered with the Health Professions Council and the Board of Health Care Funders and am a member of the Psychological Association of South Africa (PsySSA). As I am contracted into most Medical Aids, I can claim directly from your Medical Aid should you have sufficient cover.
Consulting a psychologist can be a potentially daunting prospect. As such, I have provided some basic information that may be useful to you as you contemplate making an appointment to see me. I have also included a page addressing some of the more commonly asked questions people have about seeing a psychologist.
Please feel free to browse the services and to contact me (telephonically or by email). In the event that I am unable to answer your call, please leave a comprehensive message (name, number, time and date of call), and I will get back to you.
SERVICES
I offer a range of psychotherapeutic services aimed at optimising my clients' sense of well-being, achievement levels and experience of life-satisfaction. These end goals are pursued in therapy by enabling clients to process and resolve past hurts, gain a greater understanding of personal emotional and behavioural triggers, and optimise the health and positive nature of their interpersonal relationships. I partner with my clients in growing their capacity to develop stable, mature, loving and attached relationships with others. In addition to the services offered below, I also offer therapy specifically geared towards divorce (or broken-relationship) recovery. This intervention aims to help clients move through the pain of break-up and towards emotional healing and wholeness.
