Hatfield Bird and Animal Hospital is a modern, fully equipped Veterinary Hospital situated in the East of Pretoria in Lynnwood Glen. We have a special interest in the treatment of birds, including parrots. We also have a special interest and extensive experience in advanced surgery of small animals, i.e. dogs and cats. Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery are our preferred fields of practice. (Bone fracture repair, cruciate ligament rupture repair, intervertebral disc prolapse surgery, etc, etc) We also have extensive experience with Rabbits, Rats and other rodents. Preventive Health care is an important focus for us. In this regard we offer the usual vaccinations, parasite control and general advice, as well as Senior Health tests for dog and cat patients over 7 years of age. Tests on large breed puppies can be done to determine if they are likely to develop hip dysplasia. DNA testing on most puppy breeds is offered to determine if they are likely to develop breed specific genetic problems. We are members of the South African Veterinary Association.
