ABOUT US
When looking for a psychologist it is always advisable to know the person's qualifications and educational background. I have therefore provided a short snippet of who I am for your information. I am fully qualified Educational Psychologist who is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa with a registered practice number (BHF). I am very lucky to say that I love my job and that I have worked exceptionally hard to be where I am.
Coming from a family with a very strong history in Education, it became a natural choice for me to become an Educational Psychologist. After attending two very respected schools in Johannesburg, and matriculating with a number of distinctions, I worked in a recognised preparatory school in the United Kingdom. I then completed my Bachelors degree in History and Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Following this I completed my Honours in Psychology degree (Wits) which I received With Distinction. I finalised my professional qualification through my completion of my Masters in Educational Psychology Degree at Wits University. Following this I worked at the well respected NGO Johannesburg Parent and Child Counselling Centre in Berea which provided me with priceless supervision and training as well as a wide range of experiences. I am currently working at two of the top Government schools in Johannesburg as their consulting psychologist and have my own Private Practice which is based in Randpark Ridge.
During my university education I was invited to join the Golden Key Society (only for the top 15% of students). In 2012 I presented a paper at the International Congress of Psychologists in Cape Town. I have also recently been a guest lecturer in ethics at the College of Applied Psychology in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
