A little about me…
Hi! I’m Abi ♥
I'm a Designer and a Lover of all things art and crafty! I have a weakness for Hot Chocolate, late nights, and making pretties.
I spent 9 years in the UK with my family until I decided I had missed the South African sunshine for too long, packed all my things and moved back!
Before Grace Studios came to life I had a Graphic & Web Design company. Being a designer only grew my passion for photos and gave me a greater appreciation for the quality of my product.
Finally, one day I decided to dive into my passion for photography, head
first, sold my car for a camera... and now here I am! Following my dreams!
My Passion…
Ever since I was little I had a fascination with photographs, I would and still do spend hours going through them, looking at the people’s faces. I have always had such a terrible memory and photos always helped take me back. When I picked up my first camera naturally all I wanted to do was just snap away, anything and everything I saw that I wanted to remember.
That brings me to today, my love for photographs along with art and people make me LOVE what I do even more every day!
Whether I'm at a wedding, photographing a newborn, a model, or even a family I love every minute of it!
My SECRET Passions…
I believe every photographer has a secret passion they love to photograph. Something that does nothing more than just bring them joy. Something that they will lie awake at night dreaming about. For me... I have a few.
I have a secret passion to photograph horses... their elegance, their beauty and the way they somehow speak to your soul.
I have a secret passion to photograph hands & feet... a persons hands can tell you so much about them and their feet can tell you all about the journey they are on.
I have a secret passion to photograph people in poverty... we sometimes forget how privileged we are to have all that we do and it amazes me that sometimes the people that have the least, are the happiest.
Life is all about the journey, sometimes we have to stop and take a deep breath to appreciate where we are.
