AutoGyro-Africa is an affilliate of AutoGyro GmbH, and the sole importer/distributor of the open-cockpit MT-Sport and fully closed-cockpit Calidus 09 for South Africa and the SADEC countries. AutoGyro GmbH is based in Hildesheim, Germany.
AutoGyro-Africa is the first SA company approved by the CAA to A1 standard for design, flight test and production of gyroplanes, and, in partnership with AutoGyro GmbH, are able to provide a SA version of the exiting and faster MT-Sport and the all new cutting edge Calidus 09 aircraft, compliant with all requirements of the gyroplane airworthiness code, BCAR Section T.
Built for the 21st Century, the MT-Sport and the Calidus 09 are a combination of four-stroke power, astonishing performance and factory-built dependability.
The MTSport and Calidus 09 are offered in SA as a BCAR Section T compliant factory built aircraft assembled in CAA approved workshops.
The MTSport received the Type Approval Certificate from SA CAA in August 2009. This approval is based on the UK CAA Airworthiness Approval Note No. 29247 and Type Approval Data sheet No. BG 02 Issue 1 which is based on BCAR-T, issue 3, dated August 2005.
