The Irene Village Market is an art market on the shady grounds of the Smuts House Museum about 40 kilometres north of Johannesburg. There’s ample guarded parking, safe kids' entertainment, a fully-licensed tea garden, numerous food stalls and over 250 exhibits with wares ranging from art and craft to clothing, delicacies, antiques, flowers and curios.
The market, which has received many accolades from the likes of various magazines and newspapers, provides an environment bringing together artists and patrons alike while offering excellent family entertainment and contributing to the rich historic and natural heritage of Irene village. Only original art and craft are traded with exhibitors and their wares undergoing a strict selection process.
