Milly has held various solo and group exhibitions around South Africa and her works are hanging in various private homes around the world.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born Melissa Jones in Johannesburg 1975, Milly, as she is more commonly known, graduated with a BA Fine Art at the University of Stellenbosch in 1998.
After years of travel Milly now resides in Pringle Bay with her husband and young daughter, subsidizing her art career with a landscaping business which she and her husband share.
"It is the luminosity and gooey versatility of oil paint which inspires me to work as an artist. I love the medium and its constant teachings. The ever-changing mood of colours and their relationships with one another excite me to create stories with whichever subject matter I may choose, be it figurative or landscape."
