ABOUT US
Karoo Looms was previously trading as ‘Wolskuur Spinners’ which was founded in 1983. The weavery began selling rugs, curtaining and fine weavings to a local market and grew steadily to service international clients alike. From 1989 on, the weavery began to specialize in the production of woollen rugs, and majority of the rugs were woven for an international market, namely Germany. Shortly thereafter the introduction of mohair as the fibre of choice made its way onto the looms, and the weavery has since been perfecting its production of mohair rugs, now offering of the best quality mohair rugs on the market.
Presently, the weavery has now taken on a new contemporary look, introduced a wider choice of more modern designs, and boasts their own retail and gift shop located in the old cinema on the main rd in Prince Albert.
