In the early stages of her career, the artist worked in the field of commercial art, specialising in retail advertising and graphic design. She sold the company after several years and utilised the proceeds to launch a career in fine art.
Initially working in the field of acrylic portraiture, specialising in urban african faces, the artist held her first exhibition at the Crake Gallery in Johannesburg, after which she moved into the area of wildlife art in the medium of oil, and has exhibited in galleries such as Bedford Gallery, Rowland Ward, Zalah Wildlife Gallery, Visual Arts Gallery, Rika Venter Gallery and the Sandton Gallery in Johannesburg, South Africa.
She was also part of exhibtions by The Director's Collection, The National Exhibition for the Year of the Black Aged and Artists Under the Sun.
Her wildlife studies have been bought by collectors in Europe, the U.S.A. and Australia, and have been published in The Director's Collection, and reproduced as prints, calendars, and jigsaw puzzles.
