MySwim is based in Northriding, Johannesburg, centrally located and easily accessible from the surrounding areas. The swimming school boasts two heated indoor pools, one 15m pool and a smaller 8m pool. Lessons are conducted year-round.
The swimming school was founded in 2010 by Joanne Vreenegoor. Joanne is a Zimbabwe swimming colours holder, South African Masters swimming colours and record holder, and Swimming South Africa Learn to Swim instructor. With an extensive background in aquatics as both swimmer and instructor, she is passionate about the sport of swimming, and believes everyone should be water safe! Joanne believes “technique is key to ensuring a comfortable and efficient stroke.” She is qualified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Medic, and also teaches CPR and First Aid.
