Bombas Wines is the brainchild of Sanet Bombas, a young Namibian woman of Damara heritage. Starting her journey as a beautician in the lively streets of Swakopmund, Sanet launched her exotic wine collection in Namibia on June 8, 2024.
The Inspiration Behind Bombas Wines
Luxurious, full-bodied, and crafted for the discerning wine enthusiast, Bombas Wines was born from Sanet’s love for Methode Cap Classique (MCC) and all things bubbly. After 19 years of enjoying mimosas with breakfast and bubbly with dinner, Sanet decided to create her own MCC brand. This passion evolved into a wine label featuring three meticulously curated wines: a Viognier MCC, a Merlot, and a Sauvignon Blanc.
Inspired by the majestic dunes of Namibia, where Sanet’s heart and heritage lie, Bombas Wines is a tribute to her roots and the memories of her grandparents.
The Name “Bombas”
The name “Bombas” is a homage to Sanet’s surname and her family’s legacy. The Bombas family, hailing from Khorixas, holds a special place in Sanet’s heart. By naming her wine range after her family, Sanet honors her grandparents and keeps their memory alive. The label’s design draws inspiration from the stunning Namibian dunes, symbolizing her deep connection to her homeland.

Sanet personally visited multiple wine farms in the Western Cape region of South Africa to taste, test, and select the wines that matched her vision and palate. Each wine was handpicked for its quality and flavor.

Sanet and Jean-Pierre, the brand manager, visited numerous wine farms to find the perfect flavor profiles for each wine. After selecting the wines, they meticulously chose the bottles and labels to match the elegance of their products. The result is a classy, stylish, and elegant final product that Sanet is proud to present to the market.
