Founders Margie and Graham, saw a need for a hair salon that catered to children.For Margie who had a young son at the time, a visit to a local salon was always a problem.
Her son seemed determined that he was not going to get a haircut that day or any other. Margie convinced him that if he sat still he could be transformed into Batman and Superman, which worked. And a new idea was born: a fun hair salon catered for kids, who will now look forward to their next haircut.
They launched their first salon in November 1998 at Lifestyle Family Gardens Centre in Randpark Ridge, Randburg and their second store in December 1999 at Leaping Frog Centre in Fourways.
Services
Chop it provides more than a haircut. They provide an experience.
Play stations are available to entertain the kids before their appointment. The kids are shampooed, have a choice of two DSTV Channels / a variety of up to date DVD'S to watch whilst having their haircut in front of a state of the art 32 inch, high definition television, a style and cut, dry off (not a full blow dry - unless specifically requested), lollipop and balloon as a reward upon completion for behaving.
First Haircut certificates are available at no additional charge for the memorable occasion
