Dick Allwright Properties cc was formed in 1989 with the intention of marketing and selling residential property. Our first office was opened in Bryanston and we sold properties in the Sandton area. By 1991 we had opened a second office in Midrand to market a new township in the area.
By mid 1992 with the downturn in the economy a decision was made to concentrate our activities in the Bryanston area and become a niche’ company providing a specialist service to the area.
At the same time we formed a rental division which is still operating successfully. After many of operating in Bryanston, with the odd sale in surrounding suburbs we have proved that personalised service and quality of service is the right mix.
Allwright Properties, the name we trade under, was one of the first companies to advertise on the internet, when in 1997 we placed and advert for No 1 Wilton Avenue on a new property web site. We devised our own web site in 2003 on which we place all our mandated properties. From this web site we have received numerous International calls for properties in our area. In this regard we are adapting to new marketing options on an going basis.
In 1990 we started producing a sales graph that would give us a trend for property prices in the Bryanston area. The accuracy of depicting historical events such as the 1994 elections, 1997 Asian stock market crash, Zimbabwe land grabs and the build up to the Iraqi war has made our graph indispensable in valuing property.
We are also active in the Sectional title and Cluster market, primarily in the Bryanston area, thus increasing our service ability to our clients.
